This position will assist the Housekeeping Operations Manager in providing direct managerial leadership for all Housekeeping Areas. This individual is responsible to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department (quality control of the cleanliness of public areas, guest rooms, back of the house areas, spa and office areas), and monitoring the completion of arrival by 4 pm, inspecting VIP's and Special Attention's. Additional areas of responsibility will include staff communications, training and motivation, E-time, incentives, monthly inventories, and maintaining accurate levels of all guest and linen supplies. This individual also acts as the liaison between all Front of House Rooms operations and Sales & Conference Services, Engineering, Golf, Spa, Food & Beverage, Human Resources, Activities and Front Desk.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent time management skills, be detail oriented and have impeccable follow-through. As this is a guest contact position, the individual must posses a variety of inherent attributes for service including warmth, hospitality, compassion, humility, empathy, and sincerity.
This individual must exhibit leadership skills in behavior and philosophy towards both guests and fellow employees. This individual must also have the ability to coach, counsel, and develop the staff to ensure the understanding and consistent achievement of OVI&S service standards.
*2-3 years previous Supervisory Housekeeping experience in a four-star service environment.
*Proven track record in successful Staff and Guest service.
*Understanding of both Front and Back of the House operations in the Rooms Division.
*Strong communication and presentation skills to represent the property professionally and successfully to our guests.
*Proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
*Creative thinker and ability to initiate programs on own.
*Knowledge in computer programs, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
*Bilingual English/Spanish Required.
