Description: The Executive Director of the Ojai Valley Youth Foundation is responsible for leading and managing a successful, decade-old organization with the mission of connecting youth and adults through mentoring, jobs and careers, community service and leadership for a healthy community.

The OVYF has been recognized as a statewide leader in community youth development. With its philosophy of youth-adult partnership, the OVYF includes young people as respected partners at every level of the organization, including the board of directors. The organization is a “civic partner,” working collaboratively with schools, government, police, service groups, businesses and others to strengthen the overall community in support of youth. The Executive Director leads a staff of three full-time and three part-time staff members, and an annual budget of more than $400,000.

Programs include after-school jr. high age mentoring programs, the Oak View Teen Center, Generation Communications, a youth media agency, a Youth Employment Service, an annual Martin Luther King  Day Celebration, annual summer Teen Insight Seminars, and other activities responsive to the needs of the community.
